Thursday night, March 10 2011, at 20.00 pm, Tangse Subdistrict, Aceh Pidie District, Nanggröe Aceh Darussalam Province, Indonesia was hit by flash flood.
It was the fourth night of endless heavy rain. Floods caused by heavy rains in the region Gunong Halimon, Pidie, and caused Krueng Tangse overflow. Flood brought mud and pieces of wood from the forest homes hit residents.
Flash floods hit several villages in the Tangse Subdistrict, Pidie district, Aceh. As a result, hundreds of houses in five villages were destroyed and eight people remain missing.
Tangse Subdistrict Leader, M Jafaruddin, said the flash flood hit 11 villages in his working area, which are:
1. Peunalom Sa,
2. Peunalom Dua
3. Blang Dalam,
4. Blang Jeurat
5. Pulo Baro
6. Krueng Meriam
7. Rantau Panyang
8. Blang Dhot
9. Blang Bungoeng
10. Blang Pandak.
11. Tangse
